Email is the only support channel, and it reaches me directly. There is no ticket system and no bot. Include your device and iOS version and I can usually tell what happened from the description alone.
Restoring a purchase
Playgrid Pro is tied to the Apple Account that bought it, not to the device. On a new device, or after reinstalling, open Settings from the sidebar toolbar, find the Purchases section, and tap Restore Purchases.
If the restore reports nothing to restore, check that the device is signed in to the same Apple Account that made the purchase. A purchase made on a family member's account cannot be restored on yours.
What Playgrid Pro includes
Pro enables syncing through your own iCloud, and unlocks medleys and images inside songs. Everything else in the app is free, with no limit on how many songs, setlists or blocks you keep.
Pro is sold as a yearly subscription or as a one-time purchase. Both give the same features. A subscription is managed in the App Store, under your Apple Account, not inside Playgrid.
iCloud Sync is not working
Syncing needs three things at once, and it is usually the second one that is missing:
- Playgrid Pro, active on this Apple Account.
- The iCloud Sync switch turned on, in Playgrid's Settings. It is off by default and it is per device, so a second device needs it turned on too.
- The same Apple Account signed in on every device, with iCloud Drive available.
If a device is signed out of its Apple Account, syncing pauses and the library returns when it signs back in. Nothing is deleted.
If two devices hold libraries that differ, Playgrid asks which one to keep. The other is replaced, so read that prompt before confirming it.
Reporting a bug
Send me what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. These help:
- Device and iOS version.
- Whether iCloud Sync was on.
- A screenshot, if the problem is something you can see.
Problems that happen on stage are the ones I most want to hear about.
Deleting your data
Playgrid keeps your library on your device, and in your own private iCloud database if you have syncing on. Deleting the app removes the local copy. To remove the synced copy as well, delete Playgrid's data from iCloud in the system Settings app, under your Apple Account.
I have no copy of any of it. See the privacy policy below.
